The story

Ready-to-use pepper with bold, clean heat

Black Pepper Powder is our whole Sri Lankan black pepper, ground fine and packed for the table and the stove. It is for the moments when you want pepper without reaching for a grinder: stirring into a sauce, rubbing onto meat, seasoning a bowl of soup.

Ground pepper loses its aroma faster than whole peppercorns, which is why freshness matters most here. We grind in small batches and seal the powder immediately into a tin, away from light and air, so it arrives bold rather than faded.

In the mouth it gives a direct, clean heat with a floral finish, a little less sharp than freshly cracked pepper and easier to blend evenly. It dissolves into marinades, batters and gravies, so every bite is seasoned the same.

Add it near the end of cooking, because long heat dulls its brightness. Use it for sauces, scrambled eggs, mashed potato, fried rice and marinades, and keep whole Black Pepper on the table when you want a coarse crack. Keep the tin closed after every use.
